Altar Servers at St. Augustine’s
Altar servers play an important role in the liturgical life of the Church, assisting the priest during Mass and other sacramental celebrations. Serving at the altar is a special way to contribute to the sacred worship of God and to grow in faith and devotion. Altar servers help set up the altar, carry out various duties during the liturgy, and ensure that the Mass runs smoothly.
This ministry is open to children and young people, typically starting from the age of 8 or after receiving their First Holy Communion. It is a great opportunity for them to learn more about the Mass, build a deeper connection with the Church, and serve the community.
If your child is interested in becoming an altar server, or if you would like more information, please contact the Parish Office. Training is provided to all new altar servers, and they are always supported by our experienced team.
