Holy Orders

The Sacrament of Holy Orders is one of the Sacraments of Communion and Mission. Like Baptism and Confirmation, Holy Orders can only be received once at each level of ordination. Once a man is ordained, he is spiritually transformed and called to serve both the Lord and the Church in a more profound way, continuing Christ’s mission on earth.
Each level of ordination imparts unique graces. Deacons receive the grace to preach, Priests are granted the ability to act in Persona Christi (in the person of Christ) to offer the Mass, and Bishops receive a special grace of strength to teach, lead, and shepherd the faithful.
For men interested in following the Lord’s call to serve Him as Priests, please contact either of the Vocations Directors:
Fr Andy Richardson on 01582 502400 or vocationsdirector@northamptondiocese.org
For men interested in serving as Permanent Deacons, please contact Fr Francis Higgins on 01908 221228 or francis@mk-cluster.co.uk
